The Paper Kites EP Release and National Tour

Melbourne indie-folk five piece The Paper Kites created a buzz with their debut EP ‘Woodland’ and now they are back with the ‘Young North’ EP. What better way to celebrate the release than with a national tour – and this one kicks off October 11 in NSW before taking the band across the country to finish up with November homecoming shows in Victoria.

The 5 track EP was co-produced by the band and ARIA Award winning producer Wayne Connolly, who you may know from his work with The Vines, Josh Pike, Sarah Blasko and Paul Dempsey, at Melbourne’s Sing-Sing Studio.

A Maker Of My Time is the first single from the EP and it went out to Australian media recently, already it has picked up a slew of radio additions – including Triple J. The film clip has had almost 40,000 views since going online a week ago and looks like it may rival the success of their previous two clips Bloom and Featherstone, the clip was co-directed by the band with Jefferton James, who has worked with Boy & Bear and Avalanche City.

The Paper Kites have learned all about touring from their time supporting Boy & Bear and Josh Pyke, now they feel they are ready to head out on their own headline tour where they will be supported on all dates by Art Of Sleeping and Battleships.

A live The Paper Kites show is one not to be missed for it’s full sound and captivating intricacies. The national tour kicks off soon so be sure to catch them at a show near you.
