Sal Kimber & The Rollin’ Wheel are a five-piece Melbourne band playing crowd pleasing alt-country.
The lead singer, Sal Kimber, is a gifted songwriter and guitarist who has already collected many fans. Fans are not all this rocking country band is collecting, they have also amassed a variety or awards which include the APRA Darebin Songwriting Songwriting Award, Port Fairy Fold Festival Emerging Artist of the Year and at last year’s Victorian & National Country Music Awards Sal won the Victorian Female Vocalist of the year.
The band have played shows across the country in noisy, energetic city bars as well as quieter laid back country pubs and their fair share of music festivals. The list of music festivals they’ve played is quite impressive, numbering over 30 festivals which include the Port Fairy Fold Festival, Blue Mountains Music Festival and the Mullum Music Festival.
Sal Kimber & The Rollin’ Wheel also had the opportunity to play to international crowds during a Canadian tour last year, and they have supported Kasey Chambers, and Tim Rogers and Pieta Brown (USA).
The self-titled debut album is released on October 14th and was produced with Shane O’Meara. The first single ‘Beat Gets Louder’ succeeds in capturing the essence that is Sal Kimber & The Rollin Wheel, conveying the energy that is their live performance.

A single release and the upcoming debut album release are fabulous reasons to go out on tour and Sal Kimber & The Rollin’ Wheel have taken the opportunity. October through November and into the beginnings of December will see Sal Kimber & The Rollin’ Wheel hitting the road and playing shows across the country.
