Yanni is a legendary composer and performer inspiring millions of listeners with his contemporary symphonic music in recent decades.
The concert experience offered is second to none with his passionate performances and elaborate orchestration, the audience is left no choice but to be uplifted.
Australia and New Zealand are about to be offered the chance to experience this for themselves when Yanni brings his World Without Borders tour our way in early 2013. Other countries to be included in the world tour are Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Russia, China, Hungary, Thailand, U.A.E. and Oman.
This leg of the tour will kick off in New Zealand on Saturday January 12 before landing on Australian shores for shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.
a 15-piece orchestra will be joining Yanni on tour and together they will be playing favourites that span his career alongside selections from his 2011 album, Truth of Touch.
The tour kicked off on the 17th of April, the release date of Yanni: Live at El Morro, Puerto Rico by Sony Music on CD and DVD. Two sold-out December 2011 concerts played at the historic 16th-century Castillo San Felipe Del Morro in San Juan, Puerto Rico. These concerts were the first performances at this heritage site and marked a long held dream come true for Yanni.
Yanni has been building a remarkable list of iconic sites that have played hosts to his concerts and the Castillo San Felipe Del Morro is just the latest, he has also played at the Acropolis in Greece, the Taj Mahal in India and China’s Forbidden City. He was the first western performed to play at the Taj Mahal and the Forbidden City.
Fundraising is another of Yanni’s passions. The World Wildlife Fund announced a collaboration with Yanni earlier this year to raise awareness for giant panda conservation. You can get information on this collaboration from www.Yanni.com/Santorini.
Houston, Texas was the starting point for the North American leg of the tour and it saw Yanni tour the NASA facilities and meet some of their leading scientists and astronauts. He was honoured with a plaque of appreciation from Mission Operations and he continues to support NASA and their work.

I devour books, vampires and supernatural creatures are my genre of choice but over the past couple of years, I have broadened my horizons considerably. In a nutshell – I love to write! I love interacting with a diverse range of artists to bring you interviews. Perhaps we were perfect before – I LOVE WORDS!
