VIDEO: Who is Keira Knightley?

Keira Knightley is an extremely dedicated, talented and gorgeous young actress who soared to international stardom with her portrayal of the best friend in 2002’s Bend It Like Beckham.

Her career has been long and diverse, after signing on with an agent at 3 years old and spending her childhood performing in amateur productions.

I found out some interesting and entertaining pieces of information from this video, things I may never have known unless I watched. Better than that is that in the 5 minutes it took me to watch this video I was able to see the progression of Keira’s career with footage of all her movie roles and some early television appearances.

There are so many things I could tell you but it works much better if you watch for yourself.

I will tell you that this video includes the footage of the kiss that won her the Teen Choice Award for Best Movie Liplock with Orlando Bloom in Pirates of the Caribbean – oh my didn’t we all want to be her in that scene. Is it any wonder that Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl earned 650 million dollars at the box office.

But some fun facts I discovered that I hope will entice you to check out this video – if the promise of the Orlando Bloom kiss hasn’t seen you rush off to watch and skip the rest of what I have to tell you.

Keira’s Best Actress Oscar nomination in 2005 for Pride and Prejudice made her the 3rd youngest actress to be nominated for the award.

She was almost missed for her role in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, she played the queen’s handmaiden and decoy.  For the role she was made to look like Natalie Portman but their voices were also dubbed together.

I am not going to tell you anything else, just watch and learn for yourself. If nothing else, it gives you some lovely shots of Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. But there is enough in this video to keep your attention just for Keira, one of the sexiest women in the world.

In the years to come she will remain an actress to watch with her ability to take on a large diversity of roles and accept a challenge.
