The Salvadors

The Salvadors are a South Australian band with a very South American sound, summer indie pop they’re calling it and yes it is that much of a mouthful. It’s bright and boppy, I think I like it.

Merrily is the first single from their debut album due for release later this year and the video has recently been completed. We were lucky to get access to it, and we are here to share it with you. So please check out the video for ‘Merrily’ – the first single off the debut album ‘Holy Drunken Fisherman’.

Salvadors

The weather is cooling down, there is a definite chill in the air so come get yourself some warm and bright indie pop to keep you cozy.

The Salvadors have been together since late 2009 and in a relatively short time have achieved quite a bit. They won Triple J’s Unearthed competition to cement a spot playing the Adelaide Laneway Festival.  They also graced the cover of Rolling Stone magazine as ‘One of 13 Aussie Acts to Watch in 2010’. 2010 also saw them named a Next Crop artist by Triple J.

The Salvadors have spent the past six months at Hot House Studios recording their debut album ‘Holy Drunken Fisherman’.

The Salvadors recently supported Big Scary on their national tour which has taken them from Adelaide band to nationally touring Australian act.

The single and it’s accompanying video are a great opener for the Holy Drunken Fisherman album. Keep an eye out for more from this energetic Adelaide group of musicians.
