TV show The Glades is extremely popular in the US and just premiered on Australian television on Sunday night. Shown on the W channel with no commercials, the show is set to be a must watch for summer.
The Glades even stars an Aussie as the lead, Matt Passmore, who has been in Underbelly, McLeod’s Daughters and Last Man Standing.
Those with children may have also spotted him in Play School, but you can be sure this new series is packed with plenty of punch, and his Aussie accent has been replaced.
So what is the show about? Take a look at this preview:
Basically the character, Jim, (who is played by Passmore) is hot, smart but not well liked. He has been wrongfully accused of sleeping with his bosses wife, and a sea change is in order.
Jim moves to Palm Glade in Florida and joins up with the local police.
This town isn’t as sleepy as first predicted, the self confident and somewhat cocky Jim Longworth has plenty to do while trying to charm the locals.
Also stars Kiele Sanchez as Callie Cargill, Carlos Gomez as Carlos Sanchez and Michelle Hurd as Colleen Manus.
Australian Television Premiere Series. Starts December 5, Sundays at 8.30pm on W channel.
