SYD2030 launched earlier this year as an internet exclusive web series about a group of Sydney Uni Students, a series that earned international acclaim winning ‘Best International Webseries’ at the LA Film, TV and Webisode Festival. It was also nominated in the Drama category at the International Television Festival.
A little closer to home, SYD2030 screened at the opening night of Indie Gems Film Festival where they won an exciting editing package from Spectrum Films Australia.
This week sees us reach the end of the season for this ground breaking and entertaining show. We are on the eve of the 12th webisode and this group of Sydneysiders want to celebrate the end of their season in style while offering assistance to a charity near and dear to their hearts.
To make it even more exciting they have extended a VIP invitation to their fans to join them for the celebrations.
Cheese on Toast Productions and Suicide Prevention Australia are proud to announce the charity event screening of SYD2030. Not only will the audience be able to watch back to back episodes on the big screen with a screening of the entire season, but the screening will also include the highly anticipated VIP world premiere of episode 12.
Where else would the world premiere take place than in Eastern Sydney – at Event Cinemas, Bondi Junction to be exact.
Hosting the event will be Dave and Neil from Alive 90.5, Sydney’s funniest community radio hosts. The Griswolds, Polar Knights and Giselle Rosellii are all on the guest list.
Fans can get in amongst the red carpet action and mingle with cast, creators and musicians from 7:00pm before the 7:30pm sharp screening.
Suicide Prevention Australia is a charity close to the hearts of Cheese on Toast Productions. This is why they chose to involve the charity with the launch of episode 12, and why they will be sharing a portion of all proceeds from the night with the charity.
Tatjana Alexis, writer, co-director and actress in SYD2030 is particularly passionate
about the cause – “SYD2030 depicts the highs and lows of studying law and living in Sydney, and
how hard it actually can be. We hoped by depicting these themes that it would help create
awareness in a young international audience. What Suicide Prevention Australia is doing is so
unbelievably important, if we can help be a voice to one person who needs us, that is better than
any webseries or film that I will ever produce.”
The series has all been leading up to this night, this episode, and you won’t believe the ending.
Be one of the first to find out, get yourself down to the world premiere where it all began, in Sydney.
The VIP charity screening is an exclusive event with tickets being sold prior to the event only – there will be no tickets at the door.
Come join the festivities and enjoy this webseries on the big screen for the small price of $15 per ticket.

My blurb went missing… so now I have to bring you a new one. One that is a little broader too.
I devour books, vampires and supernatural creatures are my genre of choice but over the past couple of years I have broadened my horizons considerably.
I inhale music, hair metal that satisfies my inner bogan is where my musical passion lies, but again I’ve been exposed to lots of different music I wouldn’t normally listen to and have broadened those horizons also.
In a nutshell – I love to write! I love interacting with a diverse range of artists to bring you interviews.
Perhaps we were perfect before – I LOVE WORDS! Reading, writing, speaking, listening – if it’s got words I’m there!
