Now that I’ve got your attention it isn’t quite what you may think.
Muscles is a one man entertainment machine releasing Manhood, his second album, on Modular Records on June 15.
To celebrate the launch of Manhood Muscles is embarking on a national tour. He will take his wild new live show, complete with extravagant lights, stage props and multiple Muscles personalities, to Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Erina, Launceston and Hobart. He will also be playing the Groovin’ The Moo Festival between the 5th and 19th of May and Splendour in the Grass in July.
The tour announcement comes at the same time as the premiere of the first single from the album. ‘Ready For A Fight’ is more than just the first single but I couldn’t do it justice so I am going to borrow the words from the release I received:
‘Ready for A Fight’ which is more anthem than song, more call-to-arms than debut single, more Muscles than you can handle. Described as a prelude to his debut album ‘Guns Babes Lemonade’ (which featured the hit singles ‘One Inch Badge Pin’, ‘Sweaty’ and ‘Ice Cream’), ‘Manhood’ is a no holds barred, electronic post-punk, euro-dance, camp, masculine, pop album that balances itself in its extremity.
Manhood comprises a mix of brand new tracks and reworks of party favourites from his Young and Immature EP.
Get around Muscles and his Manhood and catch a show on the tour, help celebrate the release of the new album.
