Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover

Logitech have just launched a new product which will change the way you use your iPad. As amazing as iPads are, there are two features which are lacking from the standard design – especially for those who don’t have an alternate computer.

They may be easier to carry around than a laptop, but your iPad doesn’t come with a protective cover and it doesn’t come with a keyboard. Logitech’s Ultrathin Keyboard Cover solves both these issues as it is a cover and keyboard in one. AND, as the name suggests – it’s ultra thin!

Watch the following video to see it in action:

This bluetooth, wireless keyboard attaches easily with a magnetic clip and by keeping them together your tablet will be protected when not in use. The keyboard cover does only protect the screen (not the back) but I suppose that is the most important part!

It comes with a charger, but according to Logitech, after a full charge it can last up to 6 months! I’m just going to take their word for it because mine is still so shiny and new I haven’t even hit the 6 week milestone, let alone 6 months. There is a clever power saving feature which turns it to sleep mode when the cover is closed – and wakes when you open it.

Finally, in terms of aesthetics, the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover really does look like it is made for the iPad. The outside is aluminium and is a seamless silver to compliment the device. The keyboard side is black and the keys are a good size, even for males with bigger fingers (I tested this out on Mr Lace). Even though it is a slim design and is quite durable, you will need to take good care of it.

In summary, I must admit I am excited about this release – having the inbuilt touch screen suits a large range of tasks, but there are times when you really just want to type it out.

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover has an RRP of $99.95

  1. That was fantastic. I’ve seen iPads in the shops but I am from the old school, I like a keyboard. Now all I need is to win lotto to get one of these brillant products. Best new innovation I have seen with all this new technology that has been hitting our screens lately.

    1. I know how you feel Mandy, I like to use a keyboard too. Good luck with the lotto (we have a ticket for tomorrow night too actually) – and the Logitech competition 🙂

  2. I learnt to touch-type “old-school” style, so I feel lost without a keyboard. This is a great initiative – and thanks Logitech for thinking of us too.

  3. Fantastic idea i prefer a keyboard and would love one of these need to get more up to date with technology evryone one else seem’s to do everything on their phone’s except me !!

  4. How awesome! My old clunky slow 6 year old laptop has seen better days, I can’t even use the thing anymore as it takes about 1/2 hour to load up!

  5. I have an iPad, but must admit that for some tasks and pleasure I resort often to my laptop. The inconvenience of having no proper keyboard, and having the onscreen version appear and disappear etc is most frustrating. Logitech’s Ultrathin Keyboard Cover sopunds amazing. Cant’t wait to try it. Good one Logitech.
