If you missed out on tickets to this tour earlier in the year I suggest you get in quick with the new release allocation because earlier this week there was another exciting announcement. The support acts were announced and this was certainly enough to get me excited.

Keith Urban and Joel Madden sparked a friendship when they shared the coaching panel on The Voice early in 2012, the pair bonded over a shared love of all kinds of music. Now they will share a different stage with Joel and twin brother Benji Madden, and their brand new band, opening Keith Urban shows across Australia. These shows will be audiences first opportunity to see newly created The Madden Brothers live.

The pair are currently writing and recording in their new LA studio where they are creating a brand new sound. The Madden Brothers will bring audiences a dynamic set which will include new tracks from the upcoming album, as well as Good Charlotte classics and selected covers. For these shows The Madden Brothers will be joined by their newly formed live backing band.

The Madden Brothers are opening all Australian shows except one. The 2nd Brisbane show on Australia Day, January 26 will be opened by Australian APRA Breakthrough Songwriter Megan Washington, who is also a 2 time ARIA winner and Platinum album seller. In addition to these accolades Washington has also been named the inaugural Vanda & Young Songwriter of The Year. Her critically acclaimed ‘Insomnia’ EP and its associated live show are the best demonstration of Washington’s talent, the EP showcases a darker and more intimate side to her writing.

New Seats for All Shows of the Sold Out The Story So Far Tour go on sale Monday December 3rd at 9am.
