Kate Miller-Heidke has just released her highly anticipated third studio album titled Nightflight and later this year fans will be given the opportunity to see Kate and her entire band perform tracks from the album on their national tour, with special guests The Beards.
One of these not to be missed shows will take place at The Gov in my very own (current) home town of Adelaide. The show is on the Friday August 10th, 2012 and tickets go on sale Monday April 16th.
Kate Miller-Heidke’s last album was 2008’s Curiouser which made double-platinum sales, it was quite a playful album and Nightflight moves forward from that point. It is the next stage of Miller-Heidke’s life and career and the album demonstrates that.
Nightflight consists of 11 songs with themes ranging from homesickness, mortality, love and surrender which indicates a deeply personal and extremely emotional album.
Kate Miller-Heidke has spent the last three years travelling across the world. She has been to Asia, the US and the UK to enchant audiences with her extraordinary talent. In this time she has performed at Coachella and Lilith Festivals in the US and joined Ben Folds for over 100 US, UK and European shows. Her latest performance was for the English National Opera in The Death of Klinghoffer. Now she is back in her home country of Australia for the release of Nightflight and a string of shows to perform tracks off the album.
For all of you Adelaidians that want to experience Kate Miller-Hiedke in person you need to check out these gig details.
