iPhone 4S launches in Australia

From 8 am this morning eager Aussies were able to get their hands on the newly released, iPhone 4S. While many have been disappointed that the new phone is a 4S (the iPhone 4 with a bit more) and not an iPhone 5, technology experts have suggested those with anything lower than a 4 would notice a significant difference.

Optus were overwhelmed with preorders for the new phone with tens of thousands signing up early. Available in black or white, Apple addicts were lining up for hours to get their hands on one.

Among the new features are a 8 megapixel camera, HD video, and Siri – an assistant in your phone that you can talk to by voice (and hopefully it will understand what you mean).

Optus and Telstra will both be competing fiercely for your business, with Optus offering a $59 cap with $750 monthly included value and 2GB data.

Will you be upgrading to an iPhone 4S?
