I think it’s pretty safe to say that everyone over the age of about 20 would remember Ice Ice Baby, not all of them fondly but it certainly got some airplay and was featured on the 1990 release of Vanilla Ice’s album ‘To The Extreme’ which remains one of the bestselling hiphop albums of all time.
Vanilla Ice and Zumba® Fitness have teamed up to create the ‘Ice Ice Baby Zumba® Remix’ and accompanying music video which launched exclusively on Billboard.com August 22nd and will launch through the Zumba® Fitness music promotional platform.

More than two decades after ‘Ice Ice Baby’ topped the charts and burrowed its way into the minds of the millions worldwide it’s back and even higher energy. Zumba® instructors and fans all over the world will dance to a new beat – a Zumba-inspired version of ‘Ice Ice Baby’ remixed with a unification of new dance and house beats utilising Zumba® choreography.
The choreography-style music video was created by Vanilla Ice in conjunction with Zumba® creator Beto and is now available exclusively to watch at Billboard.com, the online destination of the world’s premier music brand. The ‘Ice Ice Baby Zumba® Remix’ is also available to purchase at iTunes.

The track debuted with a live performance by Vanilla Ice in front of 8,000 Zumba® instructors form across the globe at the 2012 Zumba® Instructor Convention in Orlando. Vanilla Ice took the stage and performed the track with the help of celebrity Zumba® instructors while the audience of the Fitness Concert danced to the new choreography.
“Ice Ice Baby’ is such a recognizable song—it’s difficult to find someone who doesn’t want to dance along to it every time it comes on,” said Sergio Minski, director of music for Zumba Fitness. “By teaming with Vanilla Ice, we’re creating exciting new opportunities to further expand our music platform. More than 12 million people in more than 125 countries are going to have the chance to start listening to the ‘Ice Ice Baby Zumba® Remix’ in fitness centers, dance studies and all venues that host Zumba® classes as it’s rolled out by Zumba®; the global multimedia fitness leader and creator of the acclaimed Zumba® fitness party.
The Zumba remix of “Ice Ice Baby” was produced by Beto Azout and Salo Sterental, with original vocals by Vanilla Ice.
