Brightly have been a busy little electro pop duo with their shows around Melbourne to celebrate the release of their first two singles, Tokyo and Sarah.
The latest announcement out of the Brightly camp is that they have placed the stems of their latest songs, Sarah and Doubt, online. Not only have the uploaded the stems but they are also actively encouraging fans and other musicians to remix these tracks.
The band will then choose their favourite remix and it will become the B-side of their next single.
“We love the kind of community that remixing encourages – cutting and pasting, reinterpreting and reconstructing, mixing and remixing, they are all at the heart of what we do creatively and sonically, so we are thrilled to offer the stems of our songs to allow other artists to do the same,” beams lead singer Charlie Gleason “It is the answer to questions we didn’t even know we were trying to ask.”
Soundcloud is where you can find the two tracks, listen to them, remix and enjoy. The first twenty remixes received by the band will each receive a limited edition 7-inch of Brightly’s single Sarah.

My blurb went missing… so now I have to bring you a new one. One that is a little broader too.
I devour books, vampires and supernatural creatures are my genre of choice but over the past couple of years I have broadened my horizons considerably.
I inhale music, hair metal that satisfies my inner bogan is where my musical passion lies, but again I’ve been exposed to lots of different music I wouldn’t normally listen to and have broadened those horizons also.
In a nutshell – I love to write! I love interacting with a diverse range of artists to bring you interviews.
Perhaps we were perfect before – I LOVE WORDS! Reading, writing, speaking, listening – if it’s got words I’m there!
