Gin Wigmore is preparing to release the follow up to her debut album ‘Holy Smoke’. The new album is titled ‘Gravel & Wine’ and it showcases Gin’s love of the darker side of rock and roll.
The darker side of rock and roll, that makes the album release on Friday the 13th April all the more appropriate!
Gin herself summed up this album better than I ever could:
“So, I got down to business and started writing furiously. I wore my fingers down to a callous state writing with every Tom, Dick & Harry around the world, including a chap named Charlie who plays for a man named Bob to wrestle my emotions and bring out the raw grit hiding in my tightly guarded sub-conscious.
“Lucky for me, it all paid off in the way of 11 tip-top songs that have the love of a cowboy, bathe in a little lonesome blues, dance to a touch of rock ‘n’ roll and have the swagger of a woman past midnight” she said of the recording of the album”
Gravel & Wine was produced by Butch Walker who you may know from his work with Pink, Hot Hot Heat and Pete Yorn. It was mixed by Claudius Mittendorfer who has mixed for Glasvegas, Interpol, Ash and Arctic Monkeys.
I have checked out a couple of tracks and Gravel & Wine is certainly a fitting title for her voice and her style.
To celebrate the album release Gin Wigmore will be rocking out the tracks from ‘Gravel & Wine’ at these shows spread quite well across the country

I devour books, vampires and supernatural creatures are my genre of choice but over the past couple of years, I have broadened my horizons considerably. In a nutshell – I love to write! I love interacting with a diverse range of artists to bring you interviews. Perhaps we were perfect before – I LOVE WORDS!
