Dancing Heals are a four piece Melbourne band doing what they love and loving what they do.
Into The Night is their debut album and it was recorded over a period of 12 months and this length of time recording has a lot to do with the end result. Songs have a great ability to evolve when recorded over time and the tracklist for the album comes from the bands entire history, though even the oldest tracks have evolved with recent experiences.
The sounds are very mellow and contain great depth while still evoking great energy, it’s almost a mellow sound purely because the energy is tightly reined to ensure it doesn’t get out of control.
The album only released last week and already it has amassed quite a list of achievements, including:
- #12 in US specialty radio singles chart for ‘Live & Learn’
- #21 in US specialty radio albums chart for ‘Into The Night’
- Airplay on US radio stations
- Playing on Triple J Unearthed, 3RRR, FBi, Snow FM, Eagle FM here in Australia
- ABC TV’s Rage playing Diamonds music video
Into The Night is a little electro, a little pop, and a lot of fun. It is toe tapping fun and great for a background soundtrack to pretty much anything really.
At times extremely melodic, lilting and sometimes melancholic this is an album well worth the listen. And if you have a chance to check out their videos I suggest you do. The one for Live and Learn is quite clever and interesting to watch unfold.
