2nd Sydney Show for Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood may still be in the States, walking the red carpet looking glamorously gorgeous as always and playing the Billboard Music Awards but there is big Carrie news in Australia too.

The Blown Away Tour is her first tour outside of North America and it is sure to do exactly that to Australian audiences come July.

The show booked for Monday 2nd July at the Sydney Opera House was so popular that it sold out in the first couple of days, which has prompted Chugg Entertainment to announce an additional Sydney show in the same venue on Tuesday 3rd July.

Tickets for this second Sydney show, which is also the final Australian show will go on sale this week – on Thursday 24th May at 9am. Please be sure to get in quick because if the first show is anything to go buy these tickets won’t last long. They are available from both www.ticketek.com.au and www.sydneyoperahouse.com.

Carrie Underwood’s Blown Away Tour comes hot on the heels of the May 4 release of her 4th studio album, titled Blown Away. This is her highest debuting album in Australia, coming in at #4 on the ARIA charts.

The US was even more Blown Away with the album debuting at #1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 Album Chart, and #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart, and #1 on the Billboard Digital Albums Chart. Pretty impressive I thought, more so when I read on to discover that the album held onto the position for a second week on all three charts.
